    roaming around coyoaćan, with no itinerary other than visiting frida and diego’s home, was breathtaking. there was so much depth and greenery in the distance which was captured ever so slightly here.

    there was so much beauty in the mundane here. every corner of every street was lined with planter pots of various shapes and sizes, just like this one.

the lush greenery and bold, vibrant colors of mexico city’s neighborhoods brought me back here, nearly a year apart; and these trees, plants, and vines are the city’s most cherished occupants.

coming back to the concrete, brick-and-mortar spaces of los ángeles, I think mexico city’s greenery and accessibility to community spaces are what I miss the most.

I miss the walkability to neighborhood parks and seeing the city’s people enjoy it. I miss finding shade beneath a tree on unbearably hot days and hiding underneath one when the rain suddenly begins.

I miss seeing nature thrive at the turn of every corner.
